Fascist, that’s a term I’d gladly see the back of. In my ideal world, it wouldn’t find a place in our vocabulary, because no one would embody its ominous connotations. Similarly, I yearn for a society where we could retire other divisive labels like racist, xenophobe, misogynist, and Tory. These beliefs, with their divisive and often hurtful undertones, seem to stand as barriers to the kind of harmonious coexistence we should strive for.
Imagine a world where conversations are not clouded by these divisive terms. A place where differences are celebrated, and our political affiliations don’t define us entirely. A world where the richness of diversity thrives without being marred by bigotry. Shedding these labels would be a significant step towards creating a more compassionate and inclusive society.
So, let’s work towards a future where we no longer feel the need to use such loaded words, where we can communicate and understand each other without these divisive labels getting in the way. It may be an ambitious goal, but it’s one worth pursuing.
