Hatred Runs

How deep-seated is this hatred? Or is it doing exactly what the title suggests…

To me, someone with roots in East London, Ireland, and Norfolk, “the runs” implies having digestive issues.

So perhaps it’s like that: hatred has diarrhea. That’s an interesting notion; maybe it will self-destruct.

But that’s not what I intended. When did humans start despising each other? When did we decide that some humans were no longer valid?

That’s where hatred originates, in the false belief that some humans are more valuable than others. It’s an endless pursuit of a mirage.

This is not a complex idea to understand; no one is more or less important than anyone else.

The compassion and kindness of some are genuine, without any need for pretense. They would choose death over killing.

Yet, are we just fragile beings melting in the face of rising tides of despair? Please, do share…

I despise, I despise too much, this Brexshit Tory monstrosity! The hate I carry has torn through their ranks and left me disabled.

I shouldn’t complain; the truth will always surface in the end. It’s the only part of the entire story that remains, the essence of ultimate truth.

What endures? There are numerous excellent Buddhist texts that explain this concept well; Nagarjuna is a good starting point. I won’t attempt to elucidate it, to avoid revealing my significant ignorance.

So hatred perpetuates itself endlessly until we’re all gone. We’re remarkably stupid!
