The Rich Boy Tyrant and the Great Git Consensus

THE NORMALISATION DRIFT

Maybe his worst achievement is how quickly he made the unthinkable feel normal.

We slid from “leaders should at least pretend to respect democracy” to “maybe democracy’s a bit indulgent; maybe we need a strong hand, as long as it’s ours.”

Once you accept that:
– Laws only apply when convenient.
– Violence is fine if it’s your side.
– Elections only count when you win.

…you’re not just dealing with one rich boy tyrant archetype. You’re dealing with a culture getting comfortable with the slap as the only meaningful kind of “no.”
